This collection entails materials from CORE's black power period. Most of these documents are from donors Antoine Perot and Ruth Perot. However, it also includes oral history interviews, and other materials collected by author Nishani Frazier. Although many archives organize personal papers to facilitate researcher access, I limited document arrangement and created only broad groupings. Partially, this was due to the varied subject matter in the documents and the collection's rather small size.
Additionally, as a digital archives, information about CORE originally was accessed by key word search. Subject matter includes: economic development, target city, CORE chapters, CORE finances, CORE conferences, Louis Kelso, police and community control, community development corporations, and black power. These materials include: audio/visual materials, memorandums, speeches, letters, flyers, and other materials. This collection is not divided into series, although similar subject matter appear under one heading.
